The most incredible example are the Biglietto per l'Inferno and Corpus records: they are so well done that only who has got the original can see the tiny difference. The original Moving Sidewalk 'Flash' on Tantara label can be recognised because the counterfeit has the cover's edge more clear than the rest of the cover. Not only the rare and expensive records have been counterfeit: the original UK CBS and Vertigo must have the matrix number pressed on vinyl and not written with a pen-nib. Vertigo record also must have the matrix number of the Country in which they were pressed. So you can buy a counterfeit Vertigo or Cbs record (Nucleus or Black Widow, for example). In the doubt it's better to ask advices to a more expert friend before to buy one record. Also reading specialized magazines and book you can avoid to be swindled.
